Our welcome came well before we arrived. The help and pleasant way our booking was dealt with was obviously a clue to how much we would enjoy our stay. Then, when we did arrive, the welcome continued, nothing was too much trouble, help was there when we wanted it, and when we wanted privacy, that too was no problem. As for the standard of accommodation. A five star hotel hasn’t got what we’ve enjoyed. The love and care that has gone into the restoration of the Hayloft is obvious and we can’t wait until we can come again. We only wish we’d booked for a longer stay!

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our week at the Hayloft - it really is by far the nicest location and accommodation that we have stayed at in the Lakes - the fact that we didn't make it out anywhere for the first 5 evenings as it was so cosy at the Loft after a day's walking- says it all really!!

Just like home from home - the wind-ups did it! Seriously we didn’t want to go home. The accommodation is superb and the welcome you gave us is treasured. We are looking forward to coming back next year and tackling some of those ‘higher’ fells.

We were very impressed with the converted Hayloft especially having all the usual luxuries from home. We will definitely come back for our next visit to the Lakes. We will leave it in the pristine condition we found it in.

Rain didn’t stop play - a great refuge from the deluge on our return here each day. A minor recommendation would be - could you add a dictionary to prevent fights over the Scrabble.

What a lovely walk we’ve had! Wonderful weather, superb scenery and such a delight to come back to the Hayloft every evening - its comfort and little personal touches contributed immensely to the enjoyment of our holiday. Hope to see you again!

Just the kind of break we needed in perfect surroundings with extra peace and quiet on the side. We loved it.

Very pleasant stay. Great change from the storms and lightening of Swaziland at this time of year. Accommodation fine, beds comfortable and all facilities excellent. Decorations were much admired. Many thanks for the late night welcome.

The Hayloft is as we hoped! A beautiful place to stay in a beautiful area. A nice, warm and inviting home to return to. Much better than staying at a Hotel. The only disappointment is that I didn’t meet the cats…., the hens were charming enough though!! Keep up the good work.

Very pleasant week, in cosy and clean accommodation. Enjoyed the peace and quiet at this time of year (30^th January) , plenty of walking done. We will be back.
