Dry Border in all its glory!

These two fairly small borders close to the house were made on top of what looked like the dismantled remains of stone outhouses. Practically no soil at all. For three years I emptied all the old soil from pots onto the area. Gradually, opium poppies, red poppies and ox-eye daisies appeared. Only plants that can hold their own here get to stay so mostly hardy native types with the addition of some colourful annuals such as marigolds, love-in-a-mist etc. It is, however, very colourful.
