The Nesting Bird Project

This page has been designed to let people coming to visit the holiday lets, know about a new project that has been undertaken within the gardens surrounding Huddlestone Cottage and The Hayloft from the end of February 2001.

The pictures below show the six bird boxes, and the location where each were placed within the garden surrounding the holiday lets:

It was decided to put up the small bird boxes, because after putting up two bird feeders, we were inundated with them - mainly the Coal Tits, Great Tits, Blue Tits, Robins, Chaffinches, and Blackbirds, the usually garden visitors. The pictures below show that the main feeding area is within the herb garden:
