The Hayloft is situated in a peaceful rural hamlet three miles from the "GEM" Town of Cockermouth and ten miles from the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Two and a half acre gardens give beautiful views of both Skiddaw and Grasmoor Fells. Windows look out onto the gravel courtyard by a small orchard with gently rising ground behind, recently planted with a small deciduous wood under planted with bluebells. All floors are polished pine with rugs and much of the original stone walls have been retained. Upstairs ceilings are lofted with exposed beams.
Facilities include:
A split barn door with stairway leading to a large open plan living room with kitchen on one side. A bedroom with a double bed and room for a cot, if required. A separate bathroom provides a bath with a power shower over, and a toilet. The Kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, refrigerator, electric cooker, hob and washing machine. Colour televisions and radios are provided. There is also an iron and ironing board. A dryer is available in the laundry room for a nominal fee. Some games and books are provided for all guests to enjoy.
The price includes:
Oil fired central heating, electricity, all linen and towels (except face cloths). Golf, Riding, Fishing, Sailing, Canoeing and Leisure Club are all available nearby.
