Carter on BSB Breakup Rumours

When a cryptic posting appeared on the Backstreet Boys' official
website recently, fans were confused about whether the
"hiatus" the group was said to be on was actually another
way to say "breakup."
We went straight to the source and checked in with Nick Carter
backstage Sunday at Zootopia,
a music festival sponsored by New York radio station Z-100.
"We're not breaking up," the group's resident hottie said.
"Everybody's all like worried -- 'Nick's doing this and the
Backstreet Boys are over' -- and all this stuff. I mean, you know,
I've been in the group for 10 years, since I was 12, and so I mean,
I'm 22 and I really (want to) try something new. That's basically
what I'm doing. Sometimes you can't make everybody happy; that's the
one thing I've learned in life. The guys are supporting me, so
that's good."
Nick said the release date for his first solo album isn't set in
stone, but fans can expect it to be in stores "maybe late
