Prankster
claims Backstreet Boys split
back up

A hoax press release announcing the split of the Backstreet Boys has
been released by a prankster.
According to the release the band have formally taken the decision to
disband following Nick Carter's decision to pursue a solo career.
The prankster continues: ‘He (Nick) initially felt he could work
with the group and pursue his solo career but this has now proved to
be impossible.
‘Although the decision was taken several months ago, time and
continual discussions have delayed the official release of this
information. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of
our fans all over the world without you we were nothing.’
Officials close to the band immediately ruled the information on the
release to be false.
A spokesperson said: ‘Backstreet.News have just received a press
release apparently from Jive Records stating that Backstreet Boys are
to split up forthwith.
‘We believe this information to be false. We have contacted the
relevant parties for further information.
‘Because we have some doubts about the truth of this report we have
posted it in the gossip section of the site. We are actively chasing
information on this and will post it, as and when, we have it.’

2.) Hey you guys, I'm not kidding!! There is a commercial in the
Philippines right now where 5 guys are in a locker room singing
"Everybody"! The guys are only wearing towels and their
singing & dancing, and also putting deodorant in their armpits.
LOL! This is the most popular commercial there right now. These guys
even have careers now after just a few weeks that commercial
aired!
At first they were called the Rexona Boys (Rexona is the brand of the
deodorant), then 'D Boys (w/c can also mean delicious, dreamy, &
deodorant, LOL!), and now they are officially the Power Boys. They
even have their own website now. There are some pictures of the

They guested on so many shows that's why I learned a/b the commercial.
I actually knew about this for a while now but I didn't wanna say
anything until I have something to show you guys, w/c is the
website.
I haven't seen the commercial myself b/c I only have TFC and they
don't show commercials from the Philippines here in the U.S. But I've
seen & recorded little clips of it from the shows they guested on.
I also have clips where they are singing "Everybody" on a
musical show.
The part that I saw from the commercial was where one of the guys (the
leader) took a deodorant from the locker then started singing
"Everybody" (using it as a mic) while facing the mirror. The
camera shots look really cool! I hope it gets on the "Greatest
Commercial in the World" show so we can see it all.
Maybe someone from the Philippines can record the whole commercial
& put it on the internet. That would be really great!

3.) Brian and Leighanne Littrell will be celebrating their two
year anniversary on September 2nd, 2002.

4.) Sharon Carrillo of SarahMartin.com
and the famous Yahoo! group, Loving Sarah, got the chance to hang out
with Sarah in L.A. for a day last week. She's one of the first fans to
hear possible tracks from the new BSB album. You can read her comments
