Personal
Quote about the BSB:
Whenever
I’m feeling sad or lost, all I have to do is play their music and
by the time its finished I feel more positive about every aspect of
my life, as though somehow the energy you put into their music, is
passed onto me.

BSB Song:
My
favourite song has to be one of their trademark ballads, in
particular the one co-written by Kevin, called ‘Back to your Heart’,
from ‘Millennium’.
When
I heard this song for the first time, I was instantly hooked, and
couldn’t stop playing it. I
think this song is probably the most worn out off of the whole
album!
As
I went about learning the lyrics to it, I realised that the whole
song summed up my feelings exactly, about how I feel about the
group:
“…It’s not that I can’t live
without (them), it’s just that I don’t even want
try.”
“…Every night I dream
about (them)…….”
“….There’s nothin’
that I wouldn’t do….to find a way back to (their)
heart(s).”
As
any Backstreet Boy fan knows, the one thing they desire the most,
for each of the boys to know, is how much their love, they feel for
them is real.
My
favourite lines in the whole song, which couldn’t have been
written any better to sum up this feeling are:
“...Let me prove my love is real…..”
“…Give me one more
chance , to give my love to you, cause no one on
this earth loves you like I do.”

BSB:
My
favourite Backstreet Boy is very hard to pick because there are
qualities about each of the guys that I like and admire. I think
they are all very handsome and sexy, in their own way, but if I
really had to choose, then it would by Brian.
What
first made him stand out to me were his amazingly bright blue eyes.
To me they radiate love, caring and honesty, all of which I would
desire in someone close.
Next
it was his wit and sense of humour, which can be shown in his big
smiles. I just love to while away a day, when I can, watching and
listening to all his jokes and antics that he gets up to with Nick,
which really cheers me up. As they say laughter is the best cure for
anything!
However,
the quality that wraps him up into the most perfect package is his
voice. To me it signifies everything that is pure and angelic, and
when I listen to it, it makes me feel like I’m in a different
world! He is out of this world!

How
has BSB changed and inspired my life?
This
is a very hard question, because there are so many answers, it could
take a lifetime to explain.
When
I first started listening to the BSB, I was 14, and the song which
first attracted my attention to them was, ‘All I have to Give’.
I think this latched onto me and really opened my eyes. The more I
listened to it, the more it showed me how perfect things can be if
you really try. I found this more and more with all their songs, and
I guess this is why I really like about them, because they CAN have
such a profound effect on your life!
They
may write sad songs about problems or arguments, but they always
provide an answer – to be honest and talk. This is a lesson which
can be used in all aspects of my life, and which has really helped
me to become a better person. I have learned growing up with their
music, to be optimistic and when things seem hard and out of your
reach, if you really try honestly, and do the best you can, you will
be rewarded.
I
guess you would say that they really do inspire me, to be brave,
like they are. I’m sure their lives aren’t as perfect as people
think, but they are as near as it gets, only because they have
worked really hard, and tried to be the best they can.
I
strongly believe that I am a stronger person, in will and character,
thanks to them, and have the courage to stand up for myself. They
are my role models and my idols.

If
I could have dinner with one of the BSB, what questions would I ask?
It
would be very difficult to choose one BSB to have dinner with, but I
guess if I really really had to, then it would be my favourite
Brian.
The
questions I would ask him would be:
1.)
If you could relive any moment in your life, that you could
change, what would it be and why?
2.)
If you had no other choice, but to choose between music or
your family and Leighanne, what would you choose and why?
3.)
If you could only own one house in the world, which country
would it be in and why?
4.)
What is your favourite movie in the whole world, one which
you could watch over and over again?
If
I had dinner with all the boys and I was only allowed to ask one
question to each guy, I would choose one specific to their
interests, like for:
AJ
– What colour which you haven’t
already dyed your hair, would you choose next, and why?
Nick
– What is your favourite ocean?
Howie
– Which traditional dish do you like from your
favourite country?
Kevin
– What song do you wish you’d written?
If
this dream ever did come true, I hope it would be in a really posh
restaurant - so I could
see all the guys in their finery – it would be a dream come true!

My
first experience becoming a fan:
I
think when I first noticed the boys, was in 1996, when I was 14,
when they performed ‘All I have to Give’ on Top of The Pops. It
was so long ago now, that it is hard to remember!
What
I can remember though, is thinking how clean-cut and professional
they were, and how they could sing! Oh and of course how gorgeous
they were!!
The
girls in the audience were going crazy and I wished I was there with
them!
I
turned the volume up on the TV, and just sat there watching them
intently, hanging on every dance move, note and smile they made.
The
next day I got my mum to drive me straight into town, so I could go
and buy the CD. I played it for hours and hours, everyday, learning
all the lyrics and trying to sing as well as them. I’m sure I
drove everyone in the house looney!
From
then on I tried to get as many magazines, CD’s, posters, and
anything else with their names or faces on. I started working for my
parents self-catering holiday cottages, earning enough money to buy
the latest stuff. This was also when I started to collect the
posters and spread them all over my walls in my bedroom. At this
time, I can really vividly remember my parents expressing concerns
on how much money I was spending each week. I didn’t care, I knew
I would never go off them, and that I had to have the latest news
and memorabilia.
I
saw it then and still do, as an investment for the future, for when
the guys are undisputedly, the biggest group in the world!
I
also started logging onto the guys Official Website which gave me
all the latest news, which I knew I could trust.
Everyday
I would think about them and could not get through a day without
playing one of their songs.
I
have calmed down a little since then, but I still remain as faithful
as ever.
The
rest they say – is history!

If
I had front row tickets to a BSB concert, who would I take and why?
Without
a doubt I would take my family. We’ve all had quite a rough past 5
years, because about 5 years ago my dad was coming back from a
business trip, when he had a car crash. This left him with a broken
back, and subsequently a paraplegic. Over the years he has been able
to gain some movement back in his legs, and can now after these five
years walk with elbow crutches. All through this time, and when he
had to be on 6 months bed rest, my mum was there with him everyday
at the hospital. She was very strong for him and the rest of the
family, and never really took care of herself. In the second year
after my dad’s accident, my brother, Matthew (24), but 21 at the
time, who is a climbing fanatic, had a climbing accident. After
falling 70m without a rope, and coming round from a two-week coma,
he was left with slight brain damage. My mother again and my dad
were there for him, as well as my sister and me. It was a very
difficult time for us all, but I think we showed ourselves how
strong we are as a family, because we managed to get through it all.
Not
only was my mum the rock again of the family, but it has taken great
courage for all of us to change and rebuild our lives.
If
I had front row tickets to a BSB concert, I would love to take my
family, because after already going to one, and experiencing how
much happiness it makes me feel, I’m sure they would love it. They
all like BSB music as well, and a couple of times in the past I’ve
had to get my Millennium CD back from my Dad, who kept on nicking
it!
I
think the concert would help us to re-bond as a family, after all
the disruption we’ve had in the past 5 years.

What
do I think could make me the No.1 fan above everyone else?
I’m
sure every Backstreet fan believes they are the No.1 fan, but all I
can say honestly, is that I try very hard to make myself the best
fan anyone can ever be!
I
never miss a chance to seek out the latest information, or the
latest CD, video or magazine, and I always stick up for the guys
whenever I hear someone saying disparaging remarks about them.
I
also believe that to be a No.1 Backstreet Boys fan, you have eat,
breathe and keep the Backstreet pride alive, twenty-four hours a
day; and you have to have the purest belief in them and their music,
whatever anyone says.
This
is how I feel, and will always do so, as long as they are on this
planet!
